Free Bunny Applique

Hi y’all,

Easter is fast approaching – I didn’t realise it was so early this year. Why don’t you have some fun playing with our free bunny applique pattern. You can put these cute little guys on a quilt, mug rug, wall-hanging, tee, or bag. Anything you like.

Our free projects can be found under the ‘free stuff’ menu tab at the top of the page or you can click on the file name below to download the PDF.

Have a wonderful week everyone, we’re repairing the ceiling in the lounge room. I’m liking how large the room is without the furniture! Check back next week for specials on our Easter and rabbit themed patterns.

It’s Five Dollar Friday!

Welcome to Five Dollar Friday! This week’s PDF patterns are Scrap Bin Sheep, Scrappy Alphabet, and Patchwork Elephants. The patterns will be available at this special price until Monday (AEST).

I did a quick stats check this week and our free patterns have been downloaded 26,088 times since January this year. Wow, that’s a lot of patterns and a lot of quilts. We’ll have a new free Christmas project courtesy of Therm-o-Web in a few weeks time, accompanied by another amazing giveaway.

I’m hoping to get to the sewing machine this weekend. This week has been incredibly busy family wise and I’ve not had time. When I did manage to grab a few minutes, I’ve totally botched everything I’ve touched LOL. Not an auspicious start to the Christmas season!

Did you know I’ve set up a Facebook group called “The Red Boot’s Gang” where you can hang out and share piccies and projects and stuff,

Pop on over and sign up, it’s still in it’s infancy but I’m hoping you will enjoy being there. You are welcome to chat about other projects (other than Red Boots) but I ask that you keep politics and religion out of the chat.

There will be giveaways and exclusives (starting in the New Year) so come on over and say Hi.

A Spooky Sleepover (Free Pattern)

Are you ready for a spooky sleepover? This quilt-quillow was designed specifically for the little humans that we all love. The pumpkins are friendly, the colours are bright, and it’s perfect for a Halloween sleepover.

A Spooky Sleepover is brought to you for free by the lovely people at Therm-o-Web, the company that makes my favourite brand of fusible webbing, Heat-n-Bond Lite.

The quilt folds up and into a pillow cover which is large enough to fit a cushion and a pair of pajamas.

You can download the file here-  Spooky Sleepover Epattern

I’ve also made a quick and easy mug rug pattern using the pumpkin template. Peggy Pumpkin Mug Rug is available here – Peggy Pumpin ePattern

Web-peggy-pumpkinYou can also download the free Ghosts & Ghouls pattern here – GhostsGhouls ePattern

small-ghosts-and-ghoulsI’ve updated the Little Witches pattern. Little Witches 2 is now available in our Etsy store for the special price of Aud$5 plus appropriate state/country/county taxes.

There will be some giveaways to go with this free pattern, but I’m running late with my deadline and I wanted to get the pattern up asap. I’ll be back early next week with details of the giveaway and maybe another free project.

** Disclaimer: I’m a brand ambassador for Therm-o-Web and I’m paid to promote their products. However, I don’t promote anything I don’t think is a great product. I use large quantities of HeatnBond Lite in my day to day work and have done for several years.

Hi y’all, I’m running late with today’s release of the “Spooky Sleepover” pattern. The pattern is ready to go but I’m having trouble getting a clear photo. We’ve had a week of rain, which is great because it’s been in short supply around here lately, but it’s means mud, lots and lots of mud.

I’ll try again tomorrow and have it uploaded tomorrow night.

I’ve given the “Little Witches” pattern a makeover, nothing much has changed, a longer leg and slightly different hair. It will be uploaded tomorrow too – it’s our Five Dollar Friday pattern. If you already have the pattern, simply add 4 – 5in to the length of the leg and the hair is rectangles of fabric tied in knots. The updated pattern will be available tomorrow (as soon as I navigate the mud!).

Happy Friday lovelies, it’s time for a decaf, a cookie, and sleep! xx

A Spooky Sleepover.

After a few missteps I finally got the binding on the pumpkin quilt today. Every so often I make such a mess of things the only solution is to sit down and grab the unpicker!

The “Spooky Sleepover” quilt pattern will be available on Friday and the best news is it’s FREE! The lovelies at Therm-O-Web are sponsoring the project.

The quilt folds up into a easy-to-carry pocket. There’s room for a small pillow and pajamas too! It’s the perfect sleepover kit for Halloween.

IMG_1378I’ll have a heap of giveaways to celebrate the release too, so stay tuned! xx

Ps. you can make this project as a normal quilt, you don’t have to add the pillow pocket.
