and all through the house not a creature was stirring… because we’re all knackered! Five days of 2am finishes – I’m telling you I’m too old for this. Only two more days to go and we can sleep all day Christmas day LOL.
Have you done all of your Christmas shopping and organised your Christmas dinner? We will be picking up our turkey on Saturday. Both Kate, Rem (our cat) and I love turkey. And gravy. Lots and lots of gravy.
I was going to write a big Christmassy blog post but it’s 12.40am and I have another 20 minutes to go before I have to pick up Kel from work. Instead I’ll pop some leftovers in the oven for her dinner, turn down the lights, and have a game of Mahjong to keep me awake. Happy Friday, toni xx
I did the draw for the Thermoweb giveaway (Facebook). Congratulations to Kathy for winning the $25 gift voucher. Thermoweb have some amazing products and I’m proud to be associated with them.
The ‘My Family’ doll pattern is now in the Etsy store. You can make a whole family of dolls for your special little someone for Christmas – they are that quick to make. These are super fun and easy-to-make and are perfect for using up scraps and recycled fabrics. The PDF pattern is $5 for the next week.
All of our PDF soft toy patterns are on sale this week, ranging from $3.50 to $5.00.
All of our PDF Christmas patterns are also on sale.
The Camp Grizzly and Panda Party patterns are also on special.
I’ll be back tonight with the details for the Wild Things giveaway, toni xx
I bought and put up a Christmas tree. The lights needs to be fixed and the box of decorations found, but it’s up. A real plastic tree… wonders never cease.
I can’t decide what quilt to hang on the wall behind it. I put up Santa’s House 2 but I might swap it out for another one. The furniture needs to be moved around so I can’t decide yet.
I popped into Peppermint Stitches this weekend because I needed some fabric for the free Santa sack pattern I’m doing for Therm-O-Web. Except I totally forgot the Christmas fabric and walked out with a sack full of Tilda fabrics instead. Ooops! The free pattern will be available in about two weeks time. Stay tuned!
Otherwise not much is happening on the sewing front. It’s Kel’s last week of high school, hubby has taken a week off work to tile our laundry floor, and I have a chore list as long as my arm to get through. I’ve got to make a date with those Tilda fabrics though :oD
It’s the last day to pick up a copy of this week’s Five Dollar Friday patterns. Santa’s House 2, Reindeer Games, and Flamingo Dance are on special this weekend for $5 for the PDF pattern and $10 (including postage) for the printed patterns. xx
Re-binding Spud’s favourite Christmas quilt.
It’s not quite Summer yet but it sure feels like it. We’ve had storms roll through two nights running. We drove into a hail storm this afternoon on the freeway, one minute it was sunny the next we were being pelted by medium sized hail.
Our friendly garden water dragons are having a ball though, the rain and high humidity has brought out the insects and they are feasting. They woke us up this morning crashing through the gardens. This is one of last year’s babies, he’s probably a good 12in (30cm) long. He got cranky with me taking his photo and took off up the macadamia nut tree LOL.
Why is it that when I say I’m taking time off, and I’m really feeling like death today, do I suddenly have the urge to get stuff done? It’s a mystery to me.
I thought I’d do some more re-binding today. Easy hand-work while my butt is expanding on the couch. Spud thought otherwise; I turned my back for two little minutes and there was a cat! LOL
Candy Cane Christmas will have to wait for it’s new wrapping! xx
