Hello lovelies! It’s $4 Friday, so what do we have on special this week? LOADS. It’s bear week!
We have – Best Friends Bears, Honeybee Bears, The Beary Bunch, Fun at the North Pole, Teddy Bear’s Picnic, Panda Party, and Camp Grizzly on special this week.
$4 for the PDF patterns and $11.50 including postage for the printed patterns. The patterns and pins will remain on special for the weekend only, they will revert to full price on Monday AEST.
We’ve also put our gorgeous ‘Little Mermaid’ pins on special. You can grab them for $15 the pair or $7.50 each plus postage. They are seriously cute. The fantastic ‘YAY’ pin on my overalls, plus lots of other pins, can be found here.
To complete our bear theme this week (those mermaids really do look like bears don’t they *cough cough*) you can download the free ‘Little Bears’ pattern here thanks to the lovelies at Thermoweb (the makers of my favourite fusible webbing HeatnBond Lite).
I think that’s it for today. I’m going to grab a coffee and get back to work on those Koala (bears? toni ducks and hides from angry Aussies – because Koalas aren’t bears).
Have a great weekend everyone, toni xx
Ps. don’t forget we are doing the draw for our giveaway on the weekend. You can find the details here. xx
I’ve found a mistake in the Camp Grizzly pattern.
The hat should be appliqued to the bear after the row is joined together (you can see his hat overlaps the seam lines). I’m editing the pattern now and will arrange to send out the new version today. Please message tomorrow if you don’t receive the updated copy. xx
Hiya folks, another week has flown by and the school hols are coming to an end. It’s been a delight not to have to drive into the city at least twice a day. Thankfully the coming semester is a short one for us, a mere seven weeks, and it’s followed by our long Summer/Christmas break. Phew!
I’ve been working on a new free pattern for you, a Halloween/Fall project for the lovelies at Therm-o-Web. I started with these pumpkins but soon realised they were slightly too big and too fat. In the bin with them!
After a couple of days of trial and error I’ve got them right and I’m hoping to get most of the project sewn this weekend.
On a personal front I’m still covered in hives and tonight I can barely sit down. I’ll let you guess where the biggest and worst of them are! You’re allowed to laugh, lots. If it wasn’t so painful I’d been laughing too, it’s so ludicrous. I’ve spent years dealing with the curve balls my over-active immune system throws at me but this one takes the cake on the miserable meter.
Okay, that’s it for me, I’m off to find an ice pack for my butt. Now I’m sure I heard you laugh! Last time this happened was when the cat attacked me in the middle of the night and left teeth marks in my butt! xx
BTW I’ve left the Camp Grizzly pattern at $5 (plus appropriate taxes) for this weekend. Monday night and it’s back to full price.
Camp Grizzly is now available in our Etsy store for the special introductory price of $5.00 (plus appropriate taxes).
Don’t like using Etsy? WordPress is allowing us to put simple Paypal stores on our sites now *huzzah*.
It doesn’t allow a download option however and I will have to email your patterns to you. This will take anything up to 12 hours depending on time zones etc. Remember I may be asleep when you’re awake!
Click on the ‘Buy Direct PDF Patterns‘ or the ‘Buy Direct Printed Patterns‘ menu buttons at the top right of the page. I haven’t uploaded all the patterns yet. This is a bit of an experiment.
Halloween pumpkins are on the menu this week. It’s my turn to make a free project for the lovelies at Therm-o-Web. I’m loving these wacky pumpkin dudes!
Happy Monday peeps, toni xx
* I am a proud brand ambassador for Therm-o-Web, the makers of my favourite fusible webbing, HeatnBond Lite.
Hi y’all, Camp Grizzly will be in-store tonight or tomorrow sometime depending on how late and how tired I get. I’ll let you know when it’s listed.
The pattern comes with a bonus Grizzly Bear toy pattern.
Today I forgot everything I ever learned about math and sewing. I really don’t know where I left my brain this morning but it wasn’t in my head. I sewed things upside down, wrong way up, and nothing, nothing measured what it should LOL. I finally got my act into gear at 11.30pm tonight! That last border fit perfectly *yippee*.
One more smallish border (I think) and I’m finished. It’s going to be a snuggly, sit in front of the campfire quilt. LOVE IT.
