Hello from PlagueLand!

Hellooo lovelies, the Red Boots household is still in quarantine with the dreaded Covid plague.

So far I’m still managing to test negative. How I don’t know but I’m sure I’ll eventually get the dreaded double line on a RAT. I’m putting my money on Wednesday or Thursday lol.

I’ve started making myself a design wall – in between washing, cooking, and disinfecting everything – it’s only taken me 20 years to finally get around to it lol.

It won’t exactly be a wall, just a biggish coffee table sized panel covered in a flannel sheet that can be tucked away when it’s not needed. I’m always losing the blocks I start working on, maybe this way I can keep track of them and get some work done lol.

The ‘My Favourite Things’ update may be late this week, it all depends on the Covid situation which is changing day to day. I’ll do my best to get it uploaded this week.

The Fishy Fishy Fishy quilt pattern will be discontinued shortly. I made this quilt for my daughter who was three or four at the time. She’s now 22!

It will be replaced with a new pattern with the same theme.

I’m going to make a cup of tea… or maybe hot chocolate? Something warm and delicious, then I’m going to finish this design wall, make dinner, do the dishes, clean up everything, then collapse and watch the TV lol. Did I mention the absolute mountain of washing being quarantined is generating!?!?

Take care, much love, toni xx

  1. Wow!! No one would ever guess that the Fishy quilt pattern is 19 years old!! It looks fantastic and is so much fun. The shark is my favorite.
I’m so sorry to hear that the family is still quarantined! And, btw, the same thing happened to me – hubby and 18 year old daughter got scary scary sick with Covid last year, 15 year old daughter was mildly sick (thank goodness, since she’s the one with asthma!) and I never got it. Even with taking care of everyone else! Even though we know how crazy contagious it is! I got lucky with that one.
Don’t forget to take care of yourself, in addition to the family. It’s ok to leave the laundry undone for a day! Hugs!

  2. All of your quilts are beautiful! When I had covid, I had a light case. Perhaps your husband will too. Let’s hope.

  3. I love the fishy quilt. Will get it next payday if it’s still available. So bright and colourful Toni.
