Wednesday Catchups.

Hello everyone, it’s been a while since I popped in to say hi. How have y’all been? Are you having a great start to 2022?

I’ve spent the past two and a half weeks uploading new pattern options across three websites (new global shipping requirements and charges). I finished about five minutes ago. I hope the bureaucrats keep their sticky fingers out of the postage pie for a few months, just to give me a break lols.

I’ve been sewing a copy of the Catnip Cats quilt in between uploads. I had fun the first time I made it and it was just as much fun the second time around. Love this pattern! I must make a dog one along the same lines.

Miss Janome is in dire need of a tech checkup. Three-quarters of the way through the quilt she refused to blanket stitch properly. It has something to do with the tension and I think it’s just wear and tear (with a little bit of horrid humidity thrown into the equation). Hopefully the techs can work their magic and she’ll come back to me in tip top form.

Time for a cup of tea lovelies. Take care won’t you, I’ll pop back in from time to time. I upload daily piccies (mostly) to Instagram if you want to keep up with what I’m up to. They are also posted on Facebook. If you want to watch something completely and utterly joyful pop on over to the CSIRO Instagram site and watch this little wombat have a frolic. Love to y’all, toni xx

  1. So lovey the Cats. What size of blanket stitch do you use from your machine? or do you use another stitch?
    Greetings Karin

    1. Hi Karin, thanks for your message.
      On my Janome I use a 2.5 x 2.5 blanket stitch setting. For smaller shapes I will use a 2.5 x 2 or 2 x 2 setting depending on the curve.
I hope that helps. toni xx
