Good morning tra la la! I meant to put this photo up last night but time got away from me. I’ve had a lot of questions about dark fabrics showing through white/light fabrics when you are fusing your applique.
It’s not always possible to completely hide the shadow of the overlap but when I’m shopping for white or lights I look for a print that has some body to it. See the hearts on the fabric, they are a good solid print and disguise most of the overlap.
This particular fabric is so good at doing it’s job I bought the remainder on the bolt! Another trick is to buy a white fabric with a fine (sparse?) coloured print on it. It will still read as white but the print will distract from the shadow. I’ll try and find some fabrics in my stash that fit this description and post them on the blog. Happy sewing everyone! xx
