Sunday Afternoon Notes

Hey y’all, how has your weekend been? It’s a soft day today, overcast with showers and cooler than usual. It’s been quite lovely to be honest.

I’ve been putting together some framed Nine-patch blocks made from a giant box of mixed, mostly yellow and cream scraps I found in our storage room. They’ve been sitting there, getting in the way, for the best part of ten years and I nearly bundled them up to send to the thrift store. I was giving them a quick press (before I sent them off) when I realised they looked real pretty together. Vintage, soft, delicate.

I don’t usually get time to sew for myself but I’m trying to make a little time each week to have some sewing fun and this was the perfect project – no pressure! It’s been making me surprisingly happy and a lot more creative. Who would’ve thunk it LoL.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to those of you who’ve popped some money in my tip jar or bought me a coffee. Thank you. A lot of time and hard work goes into our free projects and your generosity makes it easier for me to continue doing so. xx

  1. I love what you do!!i wish I knew how to post the pic using some of your designs on a crib quilt.

  2. If every time someone downloaded the pattern for your sew-along they bought you a cup of coffee your income would double. Thank you for your generosity.
