This Little Piggy – Block 2.

Hey lovelies, the second instalment of our ‘This Little Piggy’ BOM has been uploaded to the site here. The This Little Piggy BOM is brought to you by the lovelies at Therm-o-Web, the makers of my favourite fusible webbing HeatnBond Lite.Month-2---Sheepthermoweb-logo

A big congratulations to Helen B. who won our first Thermoweb giveaway!

Enter our Month #2 giveaway by emailing us and answering the question
‘What is your favourite fictional or cartoon pig?’ (from TV, movies, comics, games, or books).

Ps. I’m still having to draw the blocks for you. We spilled a large cup of black coffee on the flimsy quilt top and I think it’s beyond saving LOL.

Ending on a sad note, our hearts go out to our Kiwi cousins in Christchurch tonight. We are sending all our love on this deeply sad and tragic day. toni xx

  1. There is no denying – it can only be Miss Piggy – such a role model!!!!

I wanted to take the time to also thank you for recognising the tragedy in Christchurch. I am back living in NZ after living and working in two muslim countries so have found this quite distressing. But to add to my deep sadness and trying to understand the senselessness of it all, I lost my lovely cousin Linda to what can only be described a massacre. This I just cannot and think I will never understand.

So, thank you for remember those in New Zealand.

    Ciao, Maree

    • I’m so sorry for your loss Maree. You have our deepest condolences. Is your family getting the support they need? As an Aussie I want to apologise for my country’s current racist, Islamaphobic culture. It’s been fuelled for years by fear-mongering politicians and large sections of our media. It’s wrong and I abhor it but sadly so many don’t. I lost two friends (many years ago now) to direct terrorist activities. One was murdered by the IRA and one in Iraq. There’s no sense to it, it can’t be justified, and there’s nothing to understand. Take care of yourself Maree xx

  2. My favourite is is the pig on an old US sitcom called Green Acres. But probably no one reading this knows that show so second place is Babe.

  3. I’m so excited to be the winner! And grateful for the distraction from the atrocity that has occurred here. Thank you Toni! I love your Little Piggy blocks!!

  4. Hi Toni,
When copying the pattern I have black background, never had this problem with your ptns before. The designs are hard to see. Any thoughts?
    Thanks. Debby

    • Ughh sorry Debby. It’s normally a rare glitch that occurs when your printer doesn’t like the PDF image. It’s been appearing more lately and is driving me insane. What’s happening is your printer isn’t reading the image as it should.

We always test print the patterns before release. However occasionally a PDF template will print with a black background. This is a print settings issue (your printer). Save the PDF to your hard-drive. Re-open the file and print one page. If this doesn’t resolve the problem, please tick the “Print as Image” option in the print options. Again only print one page to save ink.

If this doesn’t work please message me back and I’ll try something different. This is a rare issue and thankfully doesn’t happen very often.

Can you tell what brand of printer you use? I want to see if it’s just one brand that’s doing it. xx

  5. Hi Toni, thanks for your lovely piggy ptns, so fun. Thank you also for your thoughts of us in NZ, so sad and hard to comprehend! My daughter and grand children were in lockdown at kindy, so scary!

  6. Yes, it printed a black background. I tried your suggestion, but it still had a black background. I am so disappointed. Your design is so cute.
