It’s been a rainy old weekend here in Brisi, the gloom more than matching my mood. Our delightful neighbour cost us another sale (of the house) and we are back at square one. Some days I think we’ll never be free of the insanity and it gets me down. It’s been bad lately and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t struggling with it all.
My (design) work is also suffering and I’m keeping occupied by re-making an old favourite. Canine Capers needed an overhaul for photo purposes and I’ve been getting a little carried away with it. Don’t worry if you already have the pattern, I’m always happy to supply the update. The three amigos did the draw for the Birthday Bash giveaway. They very kindly wrote everyone’s name on a slip of paper and drew the winners… a very big congratulations to Debbie, Serena, Vicki, Anne, Michelle, Christine, and Claire who have all won a prize in our birthday giveaway. I’ve sent everyone a congratulations message and I’ll get your prizes in the post this week.I also wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has ‘bought me a coffee’ through the link on my free patterns page. Your support always astounds me, and I’m extremely grateful. I haven’t worked out a way to send a thank you email via the site, so please consider this a giant hug of thanks. This week hasn’t been all bad, our 25 year old cactus has flowered for the first time and it was worth the wait! It’s covered in giant fuschia pink flowers! I’ll be harvesting the babies from this one. I have another cactus ready to bloom for the first time and I think the flowers on it are white. They will be a gorgeous contrast to the pink.
Before I forget, another huge thanks to everyone who has sent me photos of their quilts and projects, I appreciate it so much. Sharon made hers using the ‘A Pug’s Life‘ pattern, Joan used the ‘Catnip’ pattern, and Wendy made hers using the ‘Little Princesses’ pattern from my ‘Happy Quilts’ book. Aren’t they GORGEOUS!
Well it’s time for me to get to bed, it’s nearly midnight and we have a very early start in the morning. I’m determined this week is going to be better than the last; as always we’ll pick up the pieces (or unpack the moving boxes) and get on with things. Enjoy your week! toni xx
