Hi y’all,
I’ve been unpicking the border on the pug quilt today. The pieced border that I had originally planned looked awful. It’s all part of the job. However it meant that my measurements were now completely out of whack. I spent last night with a calculator, a pen, and a ream of paper trying to work it out.
When I got up this morning I realised that all I had to do was add an extra 1/4in to one of the inner borders and all was fixed size-wise. Duh. Sometimes you can’t see the wood for the trees.
Today I’ve sewn 45 blocks for the new border and it is the happiest quilt I’ve made by far! This one’s a good one!
A couple of days ago I posted that I was going to sell some of my sample quilts. Thank you to everyone who messaged me. I’m sorry I haven’t replied to some (a lot) of you yet. I was completely taken by surprise at the response I received. To be honest I was unprepared for it and I’ve stuck my head in the sand a little.
I will make a list of names, in the order you have contacted me and when I price everything up I’ll message you.
Enjoy your weekend lovelies, I’m off to bed. It’s been a big week. toni xx

Oh how well I understand your pain filled calculations, having had many of those “DUH!!” Moments! :0) I think we try to be too clever for our own good when simple is usually best. I spent the afternoon working out requirements for a new design … Details, details! Buy as much fabric as your budget allows & then play, I say!! :0P Looking forward to the pug unveiling. Bear Hugs! KRIS xx
