Happy Quilts Giveaway & $4 Friday!

Howdy everyone! Can you believe it’s Friday already? This week has flown by, but we have another lovely long weekend to relish. I’m sooo looking forward to three days worth of sleep-ins! Bliss.

My family has settled on the couch behind me, popcorn in hand, in readiness for a weekend long Lord of Rings movie binge. Poor Frodo and Sam have no idea what’s in store for them, but I know what’s in store for me – a weekend of watching the gorgeous Aragorn do his thing :oD

aragorn 1This week I’ve been working on a quilt for Quilters Companion magazine using a stack of Kate Spain fabrics I’ve been hoarding. I want to get this 9/10ths finished by the end of the weekend. It’s not like the due date is coming up fast and I’m way behind on my deadline ;oP

I’m hoping to get some painting done this weekend too. The lovely Kris from Tag Along Teddies has inspired me to tackle restoring the shed load of old furniture we’ve collected over the years. I picked up some furniture paint from Canterbury Blue this week and I’m armed and ready! Piccies to follow, unless I mess up :o>

canterbury paintAs promised it’s time for a Four Dollar Friday! For those of you who are new to Red Boot Quilts (Hi! thanks for coming on board) Four Dollar Friday is when I reduce some of my PDF patterns to $4. Easy peasy.

This weekend only High Noon, The Wild Wild West, Desert Flowers, Festive Stars and Boot ‘n’ Skoot are $4 each. PDF only. Pop on over to the Etsy store and grab yourself a copy! The new Etsy layout is a bit of a pain to navigate, please use the store search function if you have any troubles.

happy 1

I checked Amazon this morning and Happy Quilts was listed (at the time) as #9 on the Amazon craft book ranking. OMG that’s amazing, and it’s all thanks to you guys. Thank you, I’m beyond humble, and this…

Before I forget, there’s been so much happening, Kathy S. has won the March Birthday Club giveaway, and I’ll be back next week with the April winner. You can sign up for the Birthday Club here.

Well that’s it from me, Aragorn is distracting me. I can sit here and ramble on a bit more, or give in and watch the hunky dude on the TV. The hunky dude has won. Have a great weekend wherever you are, toni xx
