After 18 months of being in and out of the bin…

..the flower fairies quilt is almost ready to be quilted and the pattern written up :o>

It has been in and out of the bin an awful lot and came very close to going to the tip earlier this year.  Why? simply because the blocks wouldn’t come together.  They became a stumbling block for me, a speed-bump in the road that I couldn’t get the car over.  A bit like the pandas LOL.  And those fairy wings… oh those troublesome fairy wings LOL.

A big thank you must go to my whip-cracking Vampire babysitter, who wouldn’t let me quit :oD

I must apologise to those of you who have commented here lately, and especially to my new friends from the Stitchers Dream Day Out.  My only excuse for not replying to your comments so far is that I have several very pressing deadlines including a looming magazine commission that I haven’t even started yet *blush*.  Things have reached panic levels!

Speaking of which I must go and make a start on that quilt commission right now.  I’m hoping to get the piecing done today *fingers crossed*.

Happy Wednesday everyone,toni xx

Ps.  my partner, clever man that he is, rescued the panda blocks from the going-to-the-tip rubbish bin :o>  Stay tuned!

  1. Sometimes,we all get caught in the “pit of the uninspired” or what I like to call “okay, I’ve had enough of this already”…when things aren’t coming together as we imagined or as quickly as we like. Add in kids that need feeding, a house that needs cleaning, laundry that needs doing, a cat that has a litter box to clean and plain ol’ tiredness and all the energy gets sucked right out of you. Just the same, I’m glad you stuck with the fairies! They are super! I love the colours, the whimsical design, I can just see that on my niece’s bed. Kudos and give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done….

  2. Hi Toni, I’m very pleased to hear that the pandas were rescued, they really didn’t deserve that fate. Your fairies look lovely. I’m a sucker for fairies. Vicki

  3. that looks sensational… love it… so glad the panda’s were rescued…. and yay for the whip cracker…

  4. Hey Toni! WOW!! Whip’s a-crackin’!! Tee! Hee! Hee! Bear Hugs! KRIS
