It’s Friday again. At least I think it’s Friday, it’s been one of those weeks. All five of us were hit with the cold virus of doom and have spent most of the week moaning and groaning and cuddling our tissue boxes. I’m still feeling tired and haven’t quite shifted the headache that came with it, but I’m craving coffee so all must be on the mend :oD
This week’s Four Dollar Friday PDF Pattern is Bohemian Rhapsody. Pop on over to my website to get your copy for Aus $4.00.
In between the moans and groans we celebrated my partner’s birthday, and even managed to make cupcakes before descending into snot-ageddon!
While I appreciate the fantastically whimsical cupcake creations that are abound on the internet at the moment, I confess to being a fan of the tasty, everyone can make them cupcake. A lick of frosting plus everyone’s favourite sprinkles and we’re happy.
I’ve done a little bit of stitching this week. The pandas and the flower fairies are coming along nicely, albeit slowly. I’ve decided to combine needle-turn applique with the fusible applique method to see if I like the results. No decisions have been made as yet! :oD
I was very lucky this week and I won a pack of Cosmo embroidery threads from Charles Parsons and the Craft Project. I’m new to using Cosmo threads but I’m thrilled with their quality (something that has been lacking in the other brands recently) and the sheer volume of colour choices available. I’m so impressed with them that I’m looking at stocking them and selling them on the website. I will be giving away a small selection of the Cosmo threads as part of this month’s Birthday Club giveaway! Remember to sign up to go in the draw.
I’ll leave you with a couple of piccies from our holiday :oD We were in Paris to see the final stage of the Tour de France, a cycling race that we have followed for almost 30 years. The cyclists were so very, very, very fast! It was wonderful! We were on the Rue de Rivoli, just outside the entrance to the Tuileries Gardens, and my two daughters were having fun on the carousel. I don’t often share private photos with you, for a variety of personal/family reasons, but these were too gorgeous not to. There is a 10 year gap between them but Miss 13 is catching up in height :o> Mr I’m 16 doesn’t like having his piccy taken LOL.
Have a lovely weekend everyone, toni xx
